A bit of an introduction…

Where do we start? There has been so much happen in our lives in last several years that it would fill pages and pages to recount it all. What we can tell you is this: God issued a call to us (Andrew and Megan specifically) and He essentially said – are you going to continue to survive through life living day to day in complacency, or are you going to obey Me, honor Me with your lives, be ambassadors to your children, and impact the world around you? There was not one specific moment in this shift – there were bits here and there, scriptures read on our own and with our growing children that convicted us, friends who weren’t afraid to speak the truth in love, prayers from family members and others who care about us, and most of all, a growing hunger from the Spirit for MORE. That hunger intensified as we took step after step in obedience. Was it all easy going? No. There were and will continue to be rough spots, times when doubt creeps in, weariness in looking at the lostness of the world around us, sin that makes us want our own way, idols that have to be cast down. However, we can say with certainty that this is where this journey we are on took a turn towards missions. And the peace that has entered our lives in the midst of every turn has truly been a “peace that passes understanding, that will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus our Lord.” We both have known and loved the Lord since we were young. However, at the beginning of our marriage we let idols and culture influence us and we were not seeking to live out man’s primary purpose in life: to glorify God and enjoy Him forever. NOW that is what we seek. Until the Lord says our days on Earth have come to an end, it is never to late to start living on mission with Him. We can start right now in this very moment asking Him to cast down our idols, repent of our sin, seek to obey and honor Him in every thought, action, and word — and LIVE ON MISSION WITH CHRIST! There is so much hurt around us – our neighbors as well as people on the other side of the world are desperate for the Hope found in the name of Jesus Christ. Our prayer every morning as a family is that we are each growing in Him and living on mission with Jesus. Please read our other posts to get a more in depth view on WHY MIAMI? And to see the vision the Lord has laid out before us. Thank you for taking the time to visit our site. We pray it is a blessing to you and encourages you in the mission God has for you! 🙂

Mark 9:35 And he sat down and called the twelve. And he said to them, “If anyone would be first, he must be last of all and a servant of all.”
